Who is this Schrodinger and why am I looking for his Cat?
Erwin Schrodinger was a physicist who made contributions to quantum mechanics, one of which was his thought experiment concerning the feline in question.
Peeling away the mind numbing phraseology of quantum physics the crux of the thought experiment is that the act of observing the process of a physical experiment causes the observer to become entangled in that process and thus affect the outcome of it, therefore rendering the data from the completion of the experiment invalid.
My fascination with this premise is in its application to every occurrence in the reality that we find ourselves in. Does the mere observation of an event have the potential of changing the ultimate outcome of the event?
